Today January 27th 2016, is another great day in River state Nigeria as the Supreme Court Of Abuja Upheld the Election of Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as the Governor Elect of Rivers state Nigeria, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and present Governor of Nigeria’s oil-rich Rivers State. He is an Ikwerre from Rumuepirikom in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State, Nigeria. Now I believe in Justice – Cutehector My governor my governor!!! shame to dakuku the crook and those glory hunters who decamed to apc at the final minute, congrats to those who stood by him especially all rivers people..we are all happy for this remarkable victory – fweshh God is good all the time To be candid, I had almost lost hope on my nation and if you check my signature you will see where I created threads on Nigerians Elections Tribunals different laws interpretation to suit a particular party By the judgement by Supreme Court judges, there is big hope for all in Nigeria All we have to do is stay on the side of law. God bless Supreme Court judges and thank you Good Lord for blessing Nigeria massively – ican2020 Lovely. Congrats to him and the people of Rivers state. it’s also an opportunity for him to know who his true supporters and loyalists are. Some people deserted him at the last minute cos they thought all hope was lost for him but I guess God just wanted to show him who and who are for him,and are against him. My advice to him is that he should rule and govern Rivers state so well to a point where the opposition would be totally irrelevant there,and wouldn’t even think of fielding a candidate against him in 2019. Wike’s victory is an opportunity for the PDP to launch themselves back again;He shouldn’t blow it away. – chronique No surprise here. Ambode was declared elected despite the whole card-reader wahala, so it makes no legal sense to remove Wike because of the same card-reader. The Supreme Court has to educate these lower courts on legal precedents. All these conflicting judgements create a crisis of confidence. I feel sorry for Ms. Semenitari, the acting head of NDDC, who was put in that post to bring money for Dakuku’s re-election bid. I think she will be removed soon. I also feel sorry for Dakuku who is going to start playing ball in Division 2. I also feel sorry for that Prof. who decamped to APC at the last moment, shouting that Wike paid him to indict Amaechi. Let him better run because Wike will seize his house and car and pension and anything ‘seize-able’ It now remains that silly decision from the Appeal Court in Taraba – RedCapChief It seems like the Supreme Court is now truly the hope of the common man? But not until they pass the integrity test with that of Abia…. I mean the very black market appeal court’s judgement where 3 largest LGAs were cancelled and still emerged…. That judgement remains a huge mockery to Nigeria’s judiciary. Credits must be given to Buhari for not manipulating the Supreme court judgements, at least, I have lost counts of many of such rulings in the favor of the opposition- that’s healthy for democracy. You victory is a proof that Egyptians of the north and southwest cannot dictate and rule over us. APC is an ethnic enclaves of the northern and south western stock. In few month time EDO too will be placed rightly and snatched from Adams of the gall stock. Congrats Wike . I and my family love you truly. – Agoro Eni-yimini I must admit that though I never liked Mr Nyesom Wike , and have never addressed him as ‘Governor’, and would have loved to see his backside as he takes a flight from the Rivers State Government House, I, however, have a perverse affection for the Judgment of the Supreme Court. The Judgment itself is a rarity. It is not always that the Supreme Court upturns the concurrent findings of the lower Courts. Having said that, it remains to be added that APC should see this Judgment as a wake – up call to the effect that should it fail to deliver on its change mandate, it may lose more States and legislative seats in 2019. The Judiciary, too, may not be of assistance to it. After all, the Change Mandate connotes doing things the right way.
